Costume Designers

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the production team to create costume designs that align with the overall vision and theme of each production or event

Research and source materials fabrics and accessories to bring the designs to life

Create sketches renderings and specifications for each costume including details such as fabric type color and trimmings

Oversee the construction and fitting of costumes ensuring accuracy and quality

Collaborate with the hair and makeup team to ensure a cohesive look for each performer

Manage costume budgets and track expenses

Maintain and organize costume inventory including repairs and replacements as needed

Work closely with performers to ensure their comfort and mobility in their costumes

Attend rehearsals and performances to make any necessary adjustments or repairs

Stay uptodate on current fashion trends and techniques to bring fresh ideas to the design process

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Costume Design or related field

Minimum 2 years of experience in costume design preferably in a theatrical or entertainment setting

Strong knowledge of fabrics sewing techniques and costume construction

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite or SketchUp

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fastpaced environment

Attention to detail and ability to multitask

Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
