Job Title: Water Billing Clerk

Job Overview:
The Water Billing Coordinator is responsible for performing various clerical tasks such as data entry water and sewer billing abatement processing and providing customer support through phone and inperson interactions. The role also involves maintaining accurate records and generating regular reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate multiline phone systems to manage and direct incoming calls ensuring proper handling or relaying of messages. Assist customers with billing inquiries at the counter.
- Accurately enter and update data related to water and sewer usage approved abatements and customer information. Maintain both electronic and physical records.
- Assist in the calculation and processing of abatement requests ensuring timely recording and communication of approved abatements.
- Generate daily weekly monthly or periodic reports as needed.
- Support other departments with data entry filing and record management tasks when required.
- Comply with all departmental city and government regulations policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Basic experience in customer service billing computer systems and phone operations is required.
- Preferred: Experience with MUNIS software or a background in governmentrelated work.
