STEAM Connect is a fullservice provider of staffing solutions for the Solar Industry in the United States.
STEAM Connect is seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar Installer to join our renewable energy team. The Solar Installation Engineer will play a vital role in installing and maintaining solar energy systems ensuring they are installed efficiently and meet highquality standards. This position requires technical expertise attention to detail and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
Solar Panel Installation: Perform the physical installation of solar panels mounting systems and associated components on residential or commercial roofs groundmounted arrays or other designated locations.
Electrical Wiring: Connect solar panels to inverters and electrical systems following design specifications and safety protocols. Ensure proper wiring grounding and testing of systems.
Roof Assessment: Evaluate the condition of roofs and structures to determine their suitability for solar panel installation. Identify any necessary repairs or reinforcements.
Equipment Handling: Safely handle transport and install solar panels inverters mounting hardware and other equipment. Use proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent damage.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks during and after installation to ensure all components are securely and accurately installed. Address any issues promptly.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations on job sites including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. Report safety concerns or incidents immediately.
Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate records of installation activities including photographs measurements and equipment serial numbers. Ensure proper documentation for warranty purposes.
Customer Interaction: Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the installation process.
Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs on existing solar energy systems as needed. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to ensure optimal system performance.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry best practices technological advancements and safety standards related to solar installations. Participate in training and development opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Electrical Engineering Mechatronics Engineering Renewable Energies Engineering or equivalent. (Ttulo y Cdula Profesional son indispensables sin excepcin)
English level A2/B1 certification or equivalent.
Previous experience in solar panel installation or a related field is preferred but not strictly required.
Knowledge of electrical wiring and basic construction principles.
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
We will sponsor the new employee with a TN visa if needed the applicant needs to have a clean immigration record with the United States.
No criminal records.
You will be required to pass a medical screening and a drug test.
Overtime pay upon availability is paid at 1.5x
Job Types: Fulltime Permanent
Pay: $19.00 $20.00 per hour
