13 weeks Nights 12Hour Shift 36 hours per week guaranteed

An emergency nurse must have the ability to make quick and accurate assessments of incoming patients including both physical and mental health conditions.
- Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients in the emergency room.
- Triages each patient and determines priority of care based on physical psychological and social needs as well as factors influencing patient flow through the emergency care system. Performs focused assessment of chief complaints of each patient promptly according to established triage guidelines.
- Provides safe and effective nursing care to the emergency room patient and/or outpatient.
- Provide direct patient care including but not limited to medication administration transferring patients and assisting with activities of daily living wound management line/tube/drain management performing and assisting with procedures and ensuring patient safety.
- Provides or assists with the initiation and maintenance of accurate concise records.
- Communicates in a timely fashion any pertinent assessment findings to the Providers.
- Carries out provider orders.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
- Administer medications while following the Five Medication Rights to help reduce the potential for medical errors.
- Scans medications per protocol except in emergencies. Interact with patients families coworkers and Providers with respect dignity and empathy. Identify and address psychosocial cultural ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families or caretakers.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide ageappropriate care to the patient population served.
- Document patient care according to standards and policies. Follow hospital policy when disposing of biohazardous materials labeling and handling all materials.
- Will handle and be knowledgeable of all medical equipment utilized in the care of the patient.
- Carries out other duties as assigned by supervising personnel.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of RN experience is required.
Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:
- Must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the WA State Board of Nursing or a Multistate nurse license.
- Must have BLS/BCLS & ACLS Certification
- Must have PALS certification TNCC preferred
EMR System: CPSI/Evident experience preferred.
Shift: NIGHT Shift: 7:00 pm 7:30 am; 12hour shifts. Rotating days may include some weekends.
