Job Description
Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for a permanent fulltime Echocardiographer position. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.
Location: Milford DE 19963
Start Date: 12/10/2024
Shift: Days Evenings Full Time
Salary: $75000.00 to $114000.00
Perform direct patient cardiac diagnostic testing procedures with an appropriate level of skill; in a timely and dependable manner consistent with current standards of care and departmental and/or hospital policy and procedure. Provide agespecific care to patients of all ages. Serve as a professional resource to physicians nursing staff and all other hospital staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately perform all echocardiogram studies ordered by physicians including but not limited to; Transthoracic 2D MMode Colorflow Doppler Transesophageal Exercise stress and pharmacological echocardiography.
- Accurately perform other cardiac diagnostic studies as assigned including but not limited to: EKG Holter prep monitoring and analysis and Cardiac stress tests.
- Correctly utilizes mechanical devices to provide the best diagnostic information to cardiology physicians including but not limited to echocardiographs cardiac stress systems electrocardiographs Holter monitors and computer analysis.
- Accurately assesses hospital information systems for scheduling processing and correct charging of all studies.
- Implement appropriate infection control practices and demonstrate a working knowledge of aseptic techniques and equipment disinfection.
- Interacts with students from contracted colleges and universities providing preceptorship and clinical guidance as per contracted agreements.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform cardiac diagnostic tests following agespecific guidelines and procedures specifically with neonatal and pediatric patients.
- All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Experience:
- Successful completion of certification program and/or two years of handson experience with echocardiography.
- Extensive experience in echocardiography studies in a hospital setting is preferred
- Extensive experience in both pediatric and neonatal echocardiography is preferred
Education:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Licenses Certifications and Registration:
- Must be a Registered Cardiac Sonographer
- Basic Life Support;
- Cardiovascular Sonography Preferred
