This position will be responsible for getting up to date shipment statuses on all shipments and
working with carrier partners to provide updates to key stakeholders. The role will research carrier
detention claims and work with plants on approvals. This position will research late deliveries and
provide updated shipments notes and any appropriate delivery reschedules in the TMS system. This
position will help maintain the customer location database and provide updates to primary contacts.
Other functions will be assigned as needed.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Research missing check calls with carriers and help update all shipment statuses in the TMS
system. - Cover detention email box and research carrier detention requests with plants and provide
rejections or approvals. - Review requests for expedited shipment approval and followup with plants to approve or
deny. - Research missed pickups from large raw material suppliers and take corrective action
- Help maintain customer location database and carrier database and make updates as necessary.
- Organize highest rejection and spot quote lanes weekly and highlight new lanes that have not
previously been on the report. - Backup Load planning and execution in TMS system
- Assist in executing and communicating carrier scorecard data results for the carriers
Regularly check carrier safety scores and alert Logistics Manager to problem areas.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 13 Years Customer Service Experience Preferred
- Previous Transportation or Logistics Experience is a plus.
- Strong Word Processing skill in Outlook or Word. Basic Excel knowledge is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Must be results oriented have a sense of urgency have excellent communication skills and is selfmotivated.
- Excellent verbal written and organizational skills.
- Strong prioritization planning and reporting competency.
