Job Description
Working Model and Location: Hybrid We go to the office twice a week so the resources need to be there on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
They can work from Basking Ridge NJ or Irving TX.
We are looking for a highly motivated and resultsoriented Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. This individual will be vital in leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and automate financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business intelligence data analysis automation and visualization and experience developing and implementing reporting solutions using tools like Qlik ThoughtSpot Looker Google Sheets Knime and Alteryx.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain business intelligence solutions to support financial reporting and analysis for the Finance department and other stakeholders.
Analyze internal data to identify opportunities for data products and create reporting solutions to meet business needs.
Drive the runanrate transformation initiative by providing an indepth analysis of Verizons financial data including revenue expenses profitability and customer trends.
Anticipate future business needs and build scalable solutions that address current and future data requirements.
Interpret complex business requests and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
Evaluate and provide feedback on reports and data visualizations.
Lead and execute reporting process automation using Qlik ThoughtSpot Looker Knime Alteryx Google Workspace apps Teradata and BigQuery.
Establish and share best practices for building reports dashboards and visualizations promoting a culture of selfservice analytics with appropriate guardrails.
Collaborate with finance teams to understand their needs and create data automation and visualization solutions using a single source of truth.
Provide requirements to the data products team and translate crossfunctional business requirements into data product requirements.
Stay current on industry trends and techniques to envision and implement innovative business intelligence solutions.
Participate in crossfunctional project teams to identify and address reporting requirements.
Continuously identify opportunities to enhance data analysis reporting efficiency and methodology.
Collaborate with teams to establish clear goals and KPIs execute tasks and meet project deadlines.
Youll need to have:
Education: Bachelors degree in Finance Computer Science Data Science Statistics or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
4 years of relevant work experience in business intelligence data analysis and reporting.
2 years of experience in Teradata.
1 year of experience developing datasets on Qlik or ThoughtSpot platforms.
Experience in successfully driving largescale adoption of selfservice analytics platforms.
1 year of experience supporting Analytics for Finance teams.
Knowledge of at least two: Knime Alteryx Python Google Apps Script and BigQuery.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in SQL Teradata and BigQuery.
Experience with data visualization tools like Qlik ThoughtSpot Looker Tableau Google Sheets or Power BI.
Knowledge of data modeling data warehousing and ETL processes.
Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Google Apps Script.
Experience with Knime or Alteryx.
Additional Skills:
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
