Job Description
Job Title: Exterior trim launch engineer
Job Location: Casa Grande AZ
Job Type: Fulltime
Job Description:
- Launch support of automotive exterior component parts in manufacturing plant
- Excellent product knowledge of Exterior trim components (Bumper Cladding Spoiler Door exterior trim Front Grill Garnish Mudguard Emblem)
- Check the quality of components and identify defects if any
- Find the root cause of product issues and provide temporary countermeasure
- Work with cross functional team in the plant to find a permanent solution/design fix for ongoing issues
- Create a CAD proposal in Catia V5 and conduct change management
- Collaborate with key exterior system and plastic component suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and production build events
- Responsible for technical documentation to include DFMEAS DVP&Rs Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive exterior/bumper components and subsystem
- Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
- Perform feasibility and packaging study
- Indepth knowledge of Plastic tooling
