Title: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Bolingbrook IL
Duration: 6 Months
Description:
We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to support our Outbound Retail Transportation team temporarily for a multimonth contract. This position will be hybrid Bolingbrook IL or fully remote hours are Monday to Thursday 7am 4pm CST and Friday 08:30 5:30 CST. Contract term could extend through June 13 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to create dashboards in Excel and Power BI as needed.
- Point of contact for contracted carriers client retail stores and distribution centers.
- Perform daily carrier track & trace.
- Proactively follow up as required to ensure desired service results.
- Communicate potential service failures to the appropriate parties (i.e.: supervisor carrier store).
- Proactively follow up with stores to ensure specialized deliveries are occurring as scheduled.
- If needed Tender outbound loads to client contracted carriers through clients TMS (E2Open).
- Execute a variety of intermediatetoadvanced reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Audit carrier and delivery schedules for accuracy.
- Answer customer service hotline as a support function and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as requested.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 months domestic transportation planning experience required.
- Advanced in Microsoft Office Outlook Excel and Power BI
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to new software programs and systems.
- Strong organization followup skills and detail oriented
- TMS experience preferred.
- Able to work remotely with reliable internet and phone access.
- Flexibility in daily task assignments.
Work Location and Conditions
- Frequent telephone and desktop computer usage.
- Hybrid Work Environment: Remote and/or in the client corporate office (Bolingbrook IL).
