Job Description
Job Title: Product Costing Manager / Cost Accountant
Location: Pleasanton CA 94588
Duration: 6 months Contract
Rate: $58.62 Hourly
Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Product Costing Manager with the following:
Standard Cost Creation process for all Domestic and Brita materials
The annual standards setting process and training
Continuous Coordination and partnership with Product Supply Organization
To support accurate standards and reduction of Supply Chain errors; Continuous improvement
Internal Controls for Product Costing
Supporting a team of capable analysts by coaching advising training and reviewing/approving their work.
Actively lead participate and bring closure to continuous improvement projects
Project Elevate Vista UAT Training Ad hoc work etc.
E&Y Point of Contact for Costing Controls when Product Costing Manager is not available
Support product costing business continuity
Oversight for monthly Production Order WIP/Error clearing
Provide Financial review for Profit Center 10001 (CIC) P&L & BS
Support development of Supply Chain Finance forecast calendars
Minimum Requirements
Required Skills:
Ability to work effectively in teams (both within Finance and cross functionally).
Exceptional SAP skills
Years and Type of Experience:
4 5 years of Finance Accounting or related experience
Preferred Consumer Packaged Goods or Manufacturing industry experience
Education Level/Degree:
Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting or related field
Desired Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of US GAAP (strong accounting skills).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
Ability to identify and implement ways to streamline and improve effectiveness and efficiency of close and forecast processes.
Strong planning & organizing skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and selfmanage workload to meet deadlines
