Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced PLS CADD Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in designing and optimizing power line systems using PLS CAD software. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams to ensure the safe efficient and costeffective design of power transmission infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Tower Spotting using PLS CADD software.
- Should be able to work with Survey Data from Land and Aerial Survey like LIDAR.
- Understand Tower Spotting Data prepare cable files and perform Sag tension.
- Able to Generate Bill of Quantity and Tower types Extension types Un equal Leg extensions Raised Chimneys and able to produce and maintain accurate Tower Schedules.
- Independently manage multiple projects and submit/ get approvals from Clients.
- Able to produce Stringing Charts.
- Understanding of Power Line crossings Clearance requirements statutory clearances like Railway highways River crossings etc.
- Should be able to produce results of Tower Spotting based on Site constraints and visualize constructional difficulties while spotting.
- Closely coordinate and work with Surveyor to produce better output.
- Should be open to site visits to solve issues relating to Tower Spotting.
- Able to perform Benching cutting filling calculations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical &Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience in transmission line design using PLS CAD software.
- Strong understanding of electrical grid systems transmission line components and design standards.
- Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in PLS CAD Geo referencing software like Global Mapper Arc Gis.
- Ability to interpret and create complex engineering drawings.
- Experience with other engineering software such as AutoCAD or GIS is a plus.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Adaptability to changing project requirements and timelines.
