Job Description
VHIR offers a vacancy for a Clinical Researcherwithin the Childhood Cancer & Blood Disorders Group.
The Paediatric Haematology and Oncology Division of Vall dHebron Hospital treats around 120 children and adolescents with cancer per year as well as up to 500 new patients with haematological conditions and performs 50 stem cell transplants. The unit is part of the European Innovative Therapies for Children with Cancer (ITCC) consortium and has an ambitious clinical research program including early and late phase trials a personalised medicine programme and multiple lines of research in stem cell transplants sarcomas neuroblastoma CNS tumours and nonmalignant haematology. All research is conducted by the Childhood Cancer & Blood Disorders Group of VHIR. There are 30 earlyphase and 18 latephase clinical trials ongoing.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Degree in Medicine
- Specialist training in Paediatrics (via MIR or equivalent)
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- At least 2 years of experience in Paediatric Haematology
Desired:
- Training in biomedical research good clinical practice stem cell transplantation palliative care advanced life support
- Experience in Research in Paediatric Haematology Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation
- Good communication skills and good team player
- Knowledge of medical English terminology
- Experience in Clinical Trials in Paediatric Haematology and Oncology particularly early phase
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Participation in recruitment and trialrelated activities of patients with haematological malignancies enrolled in early/latephase clinical trials (Paediatric Haematology).
- Communication with sponsors.
- Participation in the development of academic clinical trials our personalised medicine programme and research projects led by the unit in the field of paediatric hematologic malignancies in close collaboration with ITCC Prepare/Organize.
Labour conditions:
- Parttime position 25h/week
- Starting date: Immediate
- Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
- Contract: Permanent linked to project
