Job Description
Position Title: System Administrator (US Citizens Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:- Install configure and maintain operating systems (e.g. Windows Linux) and application software.
- Perform regular updates patches and backups to ensure system security and availability.
- Manage and monitor servers networks and cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware software and network connectivity.
- Maintain user access permissions and accounts in Active Directory or equivalent.
- Implement and maintain system security measures including firewalls antivirus and intrusion detection.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Monitor system performance and resource utilization addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Implement solutions to improve system reliability and scalability.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations processes and changes.
- Collaborate with IT teams vendors and stakeholders to implement new technologies and solutions.
- Provide technical support for systemrelated issues and resolve helpdesk tickets.
- Educate users on system functionality and best practices.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Handson experience with server and network administration.
- Proficiency in managing Windows Server Linux/Unix and cloud environments (e.g. AWS Azure).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware HyperV).
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP DNS DHCP) and security best practices.
- Experiencey with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g. PowerShell Ansible).
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
