Job Description

Job Title: PeopleSoft Payroll Specialist (US Citizens Only)

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer biweekly monthly or custom payroll cycles in PeopleSoft ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Input update and maintain employee payroll data in the PeopleSoft system including new hires terminations pay changes and deductions.
  • Generate and review payroll reports to ensure accuracy in pay benefits taxes and deductions. Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit reports.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with federal state and local tax laws. Process tax filings and payments as required.
  • Collaborate with the timekeeping system to ensure that employee hours and attendance are accurately reflected in payroll processing.
  • Address payrollrelated inquiries from employees management and auditors. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in pay or deductions.
  • Assist with yearend processing tasks such as W2 generation reconciliation of payrollrelated balances and audit preparation.
  • Participate in system upgrades testing and troubleshooting related to PeopleSoft Payroll.
  • Assist in developing and implementing payroll best practices policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in payroll processing preferably using PeopleSoft Payroll.
  • Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft Payroll modules configurations and functionality.
  • Thorough understanding of payroll regulations tax codes and labor laws.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail when processing payroll and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ability to identify investigate and resolve issues related to payroll.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with employees management and auditors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook). Experience with PeopleSoft reporting tools and databases is a plus.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Business Administration or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with yearend tax reporting (e.g. W2s 1099s).
  • Knowledge of benefits integration with payroll systems.
  • Certification in payroll processing (e.g. Certified Payroll Professional CPP) is a plus.
  • Federal Experience is a plus.
  • Required Security clearance.
