Job Description
Position: Registered Nurse Ortho Trauma/PCU
Location: Plano TX
Pay Scale: $1800
Shift: Nights 7:00PM 7:00AM
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients in the orthopedic trauma and progressive care unit (PCU).
- Monitor and assess patient conditions documenting changes and updating care plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with physicians therapists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Administer medications perform wound care and manage equipment such as monitors and ventilators as required.
- Educate patients and families on care plans recovery processes and health maintenance strategies.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for all patients.
- Stay uptodate with advancements in orthopedic and trauma care practices.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in Ortho Trauma or PCU preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Excellent critical thinking organizational and communication skills.
