Job Title: RN Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Santa Maria CA. This position offers a competitive weekly pay rate and an opportunity to work with a dedicated team in providing critical care to patients with lifethreatening conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in critical care nursing excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide exceptional care to patients in a fastpaced highacuity environment.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU including ongoing assessment monitoring and treatment to stabilize their conditions.
- Assessment & Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients vital signs lab results and critical health indicators such as cardiovascular and respiratory status.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Administer medications fluids and therapies as ordered including IV medications blood products and mechanical ventilation.
- Care Planning: Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies including cardiac arrest and respiratory failure and provide lifesaving interventions as necessary.
- Patient Education: Provide education to patients and their families about critical illness recovery expectations and postICU care.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient assessments treatments responses and progress in the medical records system.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all ICU equipment is properly maintained sanitized and functioning including ventilators IV pumps and monitoring devices.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of California.
- Experience: Proven experience working in an ICU or critical care setting preferred.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in critical care nursing.
- Ability to assess and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working within a team and with patients families.
- Ability to perform under pressure in highstress environments.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple critical patients simultaneously.
