Job Description
- Position:Registered Nurse: OR
- Location: Bismarck NDMiles Radius Rule.
- Pay Rate: $65 $67/hour
- Gross Weekly: $2143/week
- Shifts & Scheduling: 8hr;; Clinical supervisor makes the schedule
- Work Week: 32 hours per week(DaysCall 8hr call/0once every 56 weeks. weekend call every 4th5th weekend Friday 1515monday 0645 first to float rotating holidays)
- Duration: 13 weeks (high Possibility of contract extension)
- Start Date: ASAP

As a CST you will prepare operating rooms assist during procedures and support surgeons and other medical staff to deliver highquality care.

- # of Suites: 12 ORs 1 Endo Suite 1 Cysto Suite
- Cases Per day: 2530 cases on average
- Common Cases: ortho neuro total joints(hips knees shoulders) sports medicine arthroscopies neurospinal fusions cervical and lumbar cases micro discs cranis and no awake large neuro cases
- Is scrubbing required for RNs: no
- Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge Nurse for all shifts 7a11p MF weekends 7a7p manager until 4p MF
- OR techs: Yes
- EMR: EPIC
- Weeknight/Call Requirements: 12 times per week
- Weekend/Call Requirements: based on staffing Fri 1515Mon 0645 every 34 weekend
- Holiday/Call Requirements: Must be willing to work holidays rotate with perm staff.
- What is call response time 15 minutes 8 hour reprieve shifts for post call sleep room available housing should also be available nearby to make call
- Floating Requirements: MUST be willing to float to cross train to other specialty cases if needed. MUST be willing to float to the floor as a 1:1 sitter or helping hands (and will get trained that day). If refused considered supplimental time off not getting paid RDO day) Ability to pick up extra for 1:1 sitting; we do this to supplement hours if we have a low case volume
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: 45 days unit based orientation; 2 buddy call shifts
- Additional Notes: This department has a family atmosphere. RNs not required to scrub
- Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time part time or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
- Additional RTO will not be approved including after submissions.
- Surgical Preparation: Ensure operating rooms are sterile and properly equipped.
- Assisting in Surgery: Assist surgeons by passing instruments maintaining sterile fields and handling surgical materials.
- Patient Care: Support the patient pre and postsurgery ensuring comfort and safety.
- Equipment Management: Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procedures and supplies used during surgery.
- Candidates must be proficient in either Ortho/Neuro
- 3 years of Ortho/Neuro OR experience.
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- RN ND State or Compact License.
- SSN DL & Covid Card Mandatory for Submittal.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a sterile environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
