Job Description
Job Title: RN Cardiac Catheterization (Cath Lab)
Location: Council Bluffs IA
Pay Range: $2600 to $2700/week
Shift: Days 40 hours/ week
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Cardiac Catheterization (Cath Lab) team in Council Bluffs IA. This position offers a competitive weekly pay rate and provides an exciting opportunity to work with advanced cardiovascular technology while delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in cardiology excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities:- Patient Care: Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures ensuring a high standard of clinical practice and patient safety.
- Assessment & Monitoring: Assess and monitor patients cardiovascular status preprocedure during the procedure and in recovery including vital signs ECG and lab results.
- Procedure Support: Assist the cardiologist and interventional team during catheterization procedures including the insertion of catheters stents and other devices as needed.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on the catheterization process recovery expectations and postprocedure care.
- Care Planning: Collaborate with the cardiology team to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patients needs.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly to any complications during procedures or in the recovery phase providing lifesaving interventions as necessary.
- Documentation: Accurately document all patient assessments procedures medications and responses to treatment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all catheterization equipment is properly maintained cleaned and functioning at all times.
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Iowa.
- Experience: Proven experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or critical care setting is preferred.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) certification is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical knowledge in cardiac care and interventional procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced multidisciplinary team environment.
