Description:

Studies the basic principles of plant and animal life and the effects of varying environmental and physical conditions.

Familiar with standard concepts practices and procedures within a particular field.

Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.

Works under general supervision; reports to a supervisor or manager.

A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Responsible for preparing high quality histological specimens for spatial transcriptomics characterization.
POSITION SUMMARY:
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish/adapt and optimize specimen preparation protocols for animal and plant tissues;

Execute experimental plans in collaboration with crossfunctional internal and external partners/stakeholders;

Understand stakeholder interests and contribute to brainstorming and troubleshooting efforts;

Demonstrate commitment to inclusion and safety and adherence to safety protocols and best practices;

Maintain detailed record keeping and required documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
PREFERENCES:

Significant experience with histology of plant and/or insect specimens for microscopy and/or molecular biology applications (such as genomics transcriptomics proteomics etc.).

Familiarity with spatial transcriptomics experiment workflows.
