Job Title: System Admin (Remote)
Background/Need:
Our Team is responsible for desktop and server infrastructure. These services include support for Laboratorymanaged operating systems enterprise backup software distribution and application offerings. The team also manages the Laboratorys central directory and authentication systems as well as email mobile and desktop web conferencing solutions.
Responsibilities:
Work to include deploying maintaining monitoring patching and overall system administration for directory (Active Directory LDAP SSO) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems. PowerShell python and java code development are valued. AD group policy and directory account management are essential aspects of the position in addition to supporting Laboratory multifactor authentication and X.509 certificate management. Management tasks also include cloudbased directory sync protocols and systems support including AD Connect Single SignOn / SAML and Azure Active Directory. Must possess good interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Building relationships working independently being accountable and timely are core skills for a successful candidate in addition to solid writing and ability for public speaking as necessary. Empathy and respect for diversity of ideas and cultures are valued in connecting with teammates and staff members.
Must Have:
Systems and network engineering skills
Indepth handson experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux Enterprise Red Hat
Understanding of core network protocols (DNS DHCP SNTP SNMP)
Troubleshooting (packet capture and analysis)
Experience with cyber security operations best practices including systems vulnerability scans and remediation bastion / jump hosts and multifactor authentication are key
Configuring systems for enterprise monitoring and alerting
Privileged access management (BeyondTrust CyberArk)
Nice to Have:
Experience with security controls including NIST 80053 / 171 including audit compliance
Familiarity with cloudbased directories and identity solutions (e.g. Okta Ping Azure).
Knowledge of Zero Trust Networking Access (ZTNA).
Knowledge / and or technical certification of the following may prove very beneficial to the successful candidate: MCSE CISSP or Security Plus AWS.
Familiarity in working with ITSM best practices and modern tools like ServiceNow are very helpful.
An understanding of ITIL v3/4 is also useful.
Education & Experience: 10 Years of relevant work experience.
Work Authorization: US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance is required due to the nature of the work.
