Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Pay Rate: $15.50 $20.00/hour (Based on experience and education level)
Employment Type: Contract (TemptoPerm Potential)
Schedule: MondayThursday (7:30 AM 5:00 PM) Friday (8:00 AM 12:00 PM)
Location: Christiansburg Virginia 24060 (occasional travel to Blacksburg VA)

Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Engineering Assistant to work onsite with our client a worldwide designer manufacturer and integrator of precision control components company. This temporary role supports operations while an employee is on leave with potential for transition to a permanent position based on performance and company needs. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming supplies/materials.
- Unload incoming materials and maintain the dock/warehouse area.
- Package components and final assemblies per detailed packing instructions.
- Process supporting documentation for all product shipments.
- Maintain inventory of shipping supplies.
- Assist with daily pickups and deliveries between facilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.
MustHave Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid drivers license.
- Ability to interpret sales order instructions to determine shipping/packing methods.
- Accurate data entry skills for completing shipments.
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Fork truck certification or ability to attain certification.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel data entry).
- Selfmotivated with the ability to multitask and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous shipping experience.
- Familiarity with carrier computer systems (UPS FedEx freight carriers).
- Experience with Baan or similar ERP systems.
