Job Description
Job Title: 3rd Year Apprentice
Location: Hamilton ON
Pay Rate: $3536/hour (with a $5 increase after passing exam)
Shift:
- Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 6:00 AM 3:00 PM; Friday 6:00 AM 1:00 PM
- Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday 3:00 PM 11:00 PM; Friday 1:00 PM 8:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance and repairs on a range of fleet vehicles including cube vans trailers rolloff trucks and tractors.
- Participate in handson training and mentorship to continue developing vehicle maintenance and repair skills.
- Support the completion of M5 inspections to ensure vehicles meet regulatory standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on tires hydraulics suspension and electrical systems.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain smooth shop operations and ensure tools and equipment are in good working order.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 34 years of experience
- Must be a 3rdyear apprentice or higher
- Own tools
- Reliable transportation
- Waste experience is an asset.
