This handson role will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in handling a wide range of IT hardware from assembling and repairing individual components to configuring and upgrading complex systems.
As an ITAD (IT Asset Disposition) Technician youll play a crucial role in supporting our operations by handling a variety of tasks including:
Tasks
- Efficiently process purchase and sales orders to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Disassemble inspect test and repair electronic hardware including servers workstations network equipment and computers.
- Securely erase previous customer data from storage devices.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assemble and configure IT hardware systems based on customer specifications
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Prepare and submit timely reports on order status inventory levels and other relevant metrics.
- Adhere to strict quality safety environmental and data security standards such as ESD.
- Collaborate interdepartmentally to achieve operational goals
Requirements
Competencies:
- Experience with hardware assembly troubleshooting and repair.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components peripherals and server equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detailoriented and organized with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
Experience:
- Basic knowledge of IT hardware components and terminology
- 1 years of experience assembling testing troubleshooting and repairing IT hardware (specifically Dell HP and/or Cisco).
Software Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook Word Excel) or strong interest in learning more Excel skills
- Familiarity with database software (Microsoft Access) is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 20 kg repetitively. The shipment boxes can weigh more than 20kgs.
