Job Description
Drafting and Design Preparation
- Create detailed technical drawings layouts and blueprints based on engineering specifications and project requirements.
- Translate 2D and 3D designs into accurate scaled drawings for use by the Dock Operations teams.
- Modify and update existing drawings to reflect design changes improvements or adjustments required during project execution.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Coordinate with engineers and project leads to ensure technical drawings meet functional and regulatory requirements.
- accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in resolving design issues by providing detailed drawings and working with engineers to refine and clarify design elements.
Quality Control and Standards Compliance
- Ensure all technical drawings comply with shipyard standards industry codes and regulatory guidelines.
- Check for accuracy consistency and precision in all drafts and make revisions as needed to meet quality standards.
- Conduct regular reviews of drawings to maintain consistency across projects and adhere to project timelines.
Documentation and Records Management
- Maintain organized records of all technical drawings revisions and related documents for easy access and future reference.
- Prepare documentation detailing specifications dimensions and procedures relevant to the drawings.
- Archive final drawings and any approved changes in the shipyards documentation system to ensure traceability and easy retrieval.
