Job Description
1. Set and achieve inspection targets as per the plan
2. Monitor the blasting process including air pressure abrasive contamination moisture content and ambient conditions such as humidity surface temperatureand surface profile by replica tape salt contamination test etc.
3. Monitor the painting process using both destructive and nondestructive tests such as DFT crosscut pulloff adhesion test pinhole detection etc.
4. Ensure proper handling of materials and reduction of rework
5. Coordinate with other departments for various painting in production departmentrelated activities
6. Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures at all levels
7. Prepare documentation
8. Implement IMS and KAIZEN at the workplace
9. Meet quality requirements of customers and ensure reduction of cost
10. Interact with coating vendors for technical queries
11. Manage industrial relations to ensure a harmonious work environment
12. Maintain shop floor discipline and ensure adherence to safe working practices
13. Document and record ongoing blasting/painting parameters in the inspection
