Job Description
Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for manufacturing and a knack for managing complex operations We are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee our LED lighting fixture assembly operations and manage outsourced manufacturing in Mexico and the USA. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team and drive the production of highquality lighting fixtures.
Current Responsibilities:
Manage Manufacturing Facility at Rancho Office:
- Lead and supervise the assembly team to ensure efficient production of lighting fixtures.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet and exceed customer demand.
- Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures to uphold our high standards.
- Ensure all production processes are carried out safely and efficiently adhering to all safety regulations. Conduct internal safety reviews with Insperitys safety specialist and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. Resolve any OSHA violations if applicable.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during production.
- Continuously improve production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Responsibilities that may be included
Establish and Manage Outsourced Manufacturing Operations in Mexico:
- Set up and manage outsourced manufacturing operations with team support.
- Schedule production to fulfill customer order requirements.
- Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
- Inspect and ensure the manufacturing service providers quality control procedures meet our high standards.
Establish and Manage Outsourced Manufacturing Operations in the USA to achieve BAA and/or BABA Compliance:
- Establish partnerships with assembly service providers and if applicable die casting vendors to ensure compliance with BAA and/or BABA.
- Schedule production to fulfill customer order requirements.
- Inspect and ensure the manufacturing service providers quality control procedures meet our high standards.
Key Metrics:
- Defect Rate
- Percentage of orders fulfilled within two weeks
- Manufacturing Cost / Revenue %
- Freight Cost / Revenue %
- Inventory Turnover
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Manufacturing or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing or production management.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of LED lighting fixtures and assembly processes is a must.
