Systems Engineer
Line of Business: Shared Services
Department: Information Productivity & Technology
Reporting To: Operations Technical Team Lead
Key Responsibilities
Produce manage and adhere to documentation e.g. Site schematics change control documents site audits
Provide customer with value solution to meet their needs within Data#3 s delivery capability
Resolve customer problems and request to required service targets
Apply technical knowledge to effectively analyse and resolve complex problems
Liaise with customers to determine appropriate technology solutions
Adherence to policy and procedure
Daily general administration and management of job logging functions
Conduct daily health checks
Interact with all Data#3 clients at all levels
Manage time in a manner to ensure all tasks are completed within specified timeframes
Manage Project activity to specified time and budgets
Adhere to legally binding requirements and Data#3 s long term goals
Provide leadership in the resolution of complex technical problems
Partner with Specialists (within and outside of Data#3) to address specific solution areas as required
Maintain and develop Procedures and Processes to reflect business growth/change and customer management information
Performance of duties accordingly to ensure maximum personal productivity
Provisioning onboarding and offboarding of facilities for users
Effectively manage the Infrastructure job queue and resolve Customer incidents and requests within required SLAs
Escalate incidents and problems for analysis and support
Additional Responsibilities

b. Represent Data#3 in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.
c. You are required to perform your duties safely without risk to your own health and safety or the health and safety of others.
d. You are required to be flexible to work in additional roles or capacities or take on additional or varied duties as may be assigned to you that you are skilled and capable of performing. Data#3 may alter your position position description position title location and responsibilities in accordance with changing business needs and priorities.
As part of your position in addition to (c) above you:
may be required to perform your duties offsite including at customer vendor/partner and supplier sites which require as a condition of entry you to hold a National Police Certificate;
may be responsible for accessing internal and third party computer systems containing highly sensitive confidential corporate and personal information;
may be engaged in capacities that require Data#3 to have the highest degree of confidence that you will perform your duties with a high level of honesty and integrity.
Accordingly the satisfactory completion of a National Police Certificate is an inherent requirement of your position.

Relevant industry experience and certifications essential
Relevant tertiary education desirable
Certifications
MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) Mandatory
Key Experience Skills & Abilities
Experience
35 years demonstrated experience in the provision of technical service solutions to clients ideally in an IT environment
Experience working with Microsoft server products
Experience with IP Telephony deployment and operational support would be an advantage
Experience with switching routing and firewalls would be an advantage
Experience with monitoring systems and services
Experience in virtualised environments using VMware would be advantageous
Skills
Possess the skills and traits necessary to being successful as a Network Engineer such as professionalism and dedication
Effective Oral and written communication skills to ensure clear and accurate communication with all stakeholders
Integrity in dealing with personnel Customer and Supplier issues
Specific skills in the following in relation to design planning deployment and support:
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP LAN and WAN Networks
Strong knowledge of Windows server technologies including active directory exchange and IIS
Analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to develop and implement a system process or procedures.
