Job Description
We aim to significantly enhance the localization process by reducing turnaround time increasing frequency and ensuring consistent quality. The role focuses on implementing efficient pipelines improving tooling and integrating solutions into CI/CD workflows while maintaining high process observability and predictable delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Optimization:
- Replace and optimize the current GitLab pipeline for text extraction processing and localization workflows.
- Implement and integrate triggers between project CI/CD pipelines and the localization pipeline.
- Maintain localization consistency and unaffected status for previously localized content.
- Tooling and Authoring:
- Revamp sourcetext authoring processes including generating detailed change reports.
- Document differences in capabilities between old and new solutions.
- Content Exchange with Translation Agency:
- Develop mechanisms for marking texts ready for translation and ensure seamless exchange.
- Generate statistics for text coverage in all supported locales.
- CI/CD Integration:
- Establish workflows to trigger deployment and release pipelines for localized assets.
- Participate in endtoend testing of the localization process.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Provide weekly updates and facilitate knowledge sharing between stakeholders including developers DevOps and localization engineers.
Requirements
Skills and Competencies:
- Proven expertise in GitLab CI/CD.
- Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with cloudbased Translation Management Systems (TMS).
- Strong documentation and collaboration skills to work with crossfunctional teams.
Outcome Expectations:
- Efficient pipelines validated and deployed in production.
- Comprehensive documentation of capabilities and processes.
- Improved localization turnaround time without compromising quality.
