Job Description

Our client is part of a leading Management Consultancy firm specialising in driving digital transformation within the fintech industry and has more than 1000 employees across Singapore Malaysia Australia and Taiwan. They have recently established an office in Cyprus dedicated to advancing technological solutions for crypto and CFD brokers.
Our client is developing an innovative antifraud platform designed to ensure security in trading and payment fields. The platform is in the active development stage and all key components will be built from scratch. This includes a rule management engine integration with various data providers tools for clone detection and scoring models. Additionally there are plans to develop a unified backoffice for rule configuration transaction monitoring and risk mitigation management.
As a Fraud and Risk Analyst you will be a key player in safeguarding our business and clients from fraudulent activity. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze transactions trading activity and behaviors to identify prevent and mitigate risks. This role demands a strong understanding of trading platforms (MT4/MT5) and financial instruments such as forex stocks indices and cryptocurrencies. Youll collaborate closely with product and development teams to translate fraud insights into actionable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Fraud Detection & Analysis: Monitor and analyze client activity to identify suspicious behavior and potential fraud patterns.
- Pattern Recognition & Rule Building: Detect new fraud schemes and create effective rules to mitigate associated risks.
- Trading Knowledge: Leverage a deep understanding of trading concepts including MT4/MT5 platforms financial instruments orders and execution and market behavior to enhance fraud detection mechanisms.
- Collaboration: Work with product managers designers and developers to implement fraud prevention rules and improve system efficiency.
- Reporting: Compile detailed fraud analysis reports and recommend risk management and loss prevention strategies to leadership.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest fraud trends and technologies to refine existing systems and processes.
We are happy to hear from you if you have:
- Language Proficiency: Exceptional English skills (C1 or higher) both spoken and written.
- Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of trading platforms (MT4/MT5) stocks indices.
- Forex experience with an understanding of dealing risks experience and understanding in crypto monitoring (KYT Know Your Transaction)
- Experience working with KYT tools (crypto tracing) flow of funds tracking.
- Expertise in identifying complex fraud patterns and translating them into actionable insights.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders and viceversa.
- Keen ability to spot anomalies and discrepancies in data.
- Experience working crossfunctionally with product development and compliance teams.
- Willingness to work in an office in Cyprus
- Spoken Russian will be a plus
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with scripting or data analysis tools (e.g. SQL Python).
- Prior experience in fraud detection or risk analysis in a financial or trading environment
