Job Summary: Key Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC programming particularly with MasterCam software and will also take on the role of Machine Shop Manager. This position is crucial for ensuring highquality production and efficient operation of the machine shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- CNC Programming:
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using MasterCam for various machining operations.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create precise machining instructions.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to refine machining processes and improve product quality.
- Machining Operations:
- Operate CNC machines including lathes and mills to produce highprecision parts and components.
- Monitor machining processes for quality and efficiency making adjustments as needed.
- Machine Shop Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the machine shop ensuring safety quality and productivity standards are met.
- Manage and lead a team of machinists and support staff providing guidance and training as necessary.
- Coordinate scheduling and workflow to optimize production output.
- Maintenance and uality Control:
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules for CNC machines and equipment.
- Conduct quality control inspections and troubleshoot any machining issues to minimize downtime.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in machining technology and CNC programming.
ualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining technology is preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist with at least X years of handson experience.
- Proficiency in MasterCam and other CNC programming software.
- Strong understanding of machining principles materials and tooling.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is a plus.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
