Job Description
Southwest Animal Hospital in Jefferson City Missouri is seeking a fulltime Veterinarian to join our amazing team!
About our clinic: Southwest Animal Hospital is a fullservice small animal hospital that has been offering the best in medical and surgical care to the pets of Cole County since 1971. We treat primarily dogs and cats but several of our doctors treat exotics and perform limited preventative care on birds. We moved into our new building in 2013 and you can tour our beautiful facility
Our hospital is fully equipped with an inhouse laboratory digital radiography digital dental radiography ultrasound surgical laser and cold laser therapy. We have a trained technician who performs our diagnostic ultrasounds and echocardiograms. We are paperless using AVImark for our electronic medical records. We also have boarding and grooming services within our facility.
Our doctors perform a variety of routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries and dentistry in our surgery suite and dentistry area. We refer our orthopaedic procedures out but we do have equipment for TPLO procedures for any candidates interested and experienced in orthopaedic surgery. Any candidate interested in surgery (soft tissue or orthopaedic) would have their own surgery day.
Most importantly we have phenomenal experienced support staff who are crucial to the success of patient and client care. Every employee works together as a team each day and we do not tolerate drama. To round out the group our practice manager Robert keeps us all on track and the practice running smoothly. We have a SUPER FUN group of team members focused on development and growth right now as a team.
At Southwest Animal Hospital we have worked very hard to create a highlymotivated experienced team and are looking for a candidate who will support and embrace our collaborative environment. Our focus is on excellent quality care preventive medicine building relationships education and positive experiences for our clients and staff. We are also a food motivated team! We have lunch brought in for the team every Monday and we genuinely enjoy spending time as a team outside of work too. We routinely do escape rooms hayrides and have get together ethers at each other s houses.
Requirements
Ideal qualifications:
- All experience levels considered
- Indiana Veterinary License active and in good standing

Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university Active Veterinary State License (preferred)

DVM or VMD 3+ years in Practice Setting
