Job Purpose:
This role involves developing business for the Road Logistics Business Unit. You will dedicate 50% of your time to cultivating a pipeline of approximately 15 strategic customers carrying an individual turnover target alongside soft targets aligned with tender management methodologies. The remaining 50% will focus on liaising between Key Account Managers and Road Business Unit stakeholders to enhance visibility develop opportunities and foster knowledge of road logistics products and capabilities within the Key Account Management communities.
Your Responsibilities:
- Identify and generate new business opportunities from strategic road logistics prospect accounts and global accounts.
- Drive business growth and support national sales efforts including business planning customer interfacing and account tracking/reporting.
- Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs) using tender management methodologies.
- Share knowledge and engage teams to ensure they are uptodate with critical product and market information.
- Collaborate to develop and support new traffic and product services alongside all Business Units.
- Regularly report on pipeline success and lost opportunities using Corelog or similar tools.
- Lead support and facilitate key implementations using global customer implementation methodologies.
- Monitor competition by gathering market intelligence on pricing and products.
- Stay informed on market trends and product developments for designated routes and customer needs.
- Maintain a target customer list of at least 15 strategic prospect accounts.
- Manage and develop a pipeline of road logistics opportunities within assigned global account portfolios.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in overland logistics and customs brokerage.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics.
- At least 3 years of experience within a multinational company.
- Bachelor s degree in a relevant field.
