Designation : ETL Testing Engineer
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Design:
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and nonfunctional requirements.
- Identify and document test scenarios test data and expected results.
- Collaborate with ETL developers and business analysts to understand data flows transformations and business rules.

Test Execution:
- Execute test cases manually or using automation tools.
- Validate data accuracy completeness and consistency across different stages of the ETL process.
- Perform data profiling and quality checks to identify potential issues.
- Analyze test results and generate detailed reports on test execution defects and findings.

Defect Tracking and Reporting:
- Log and track defects in a defect tracking system.
- Provide clear and concise defect descriptions including error messages screenshots and stepbystep reproduction steps.
- Work with development teams to resolve defects and ensure timely fixes.

Test Automation:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Automate repetitive test cases to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing.

Data Validation and Analysis:
- Use SQL queries and data analysis techniques to validate data against business rules and expected outcomes.
- Analyze data quality metrics and identify potential data anomalies or inconsistencies.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts and processes.
- Proficiency in SQL and database querying.
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g. Informatica Talend SSIS).
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g. Selenium JUnit TestNG).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
