Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a proficient Web Stack Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our full web stack applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in testing frontend backend and integration layers with the ability to implement and maintain automated testing frameworks. This role is critical in maintaining the functionality performance and security of our web stack solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full Stack Testing:
- Test the frontend (UI/UX) backend (APIs databases) and integration layers of web stack applications.
- Perform functional regression performance compatibility and security testing.
- Identify document and track defects using issue tracking tools and work closely with development teams for resolution.
- Automation Framework Development:
- Design develop and implement automated test suites across the web stack using tools like Selenium Cypress or similar frameworks.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.
- Tool and Technology Utilization:
- Use test management tools such as TestLink XRAY or JIRA to organize and report testing activities.
- Leverage API testing tools (e.g. Postman SoapUI) to test RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Conduct database testing including data validation and schema integrity checks.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand application architecture dependencies and requirements.
- Provide regular reports on test coverage progress and quality metrics.
- Process Improvement:
- Stay updated on the latest testing tools practices and trends to enhance testing processes.
- Recommend improvements to the development lifecycle to prevent issues and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in manual and automated testing of full web stack applications.
- Strong knowledge of testing tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium JMeter Postman Cypress).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python JavaScript or Java for automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI/CD).
- Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL for testing purposes.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and testdriven development (TDD).
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with security testing tools (e.g. OWASP ZAP Burp Suite).
- Knowledge of cloudbased environments (AWS Azure GCP) and their impact on testing.
- Familiarity with containerized applications and testing in Docker environments.
- Understanding of frontend technologies (e.g. HTML CSS JavaScript frameworks).
