Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking Patient Care Technicians to join our team of dedicated professionals! As a member of a Magnetdesignated Nursing team you will provide support to inpatient nursing staff while ensuring comfort and safety for patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse and assist patients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Handle situations with integrity and compassion.
- Perform tasks such as taking vital signs conducting EKGs and collecting specimens.
- Collaborate with the clinical team and provide assistance with procedures when needed.
- Use basic computer and data entry skills.
Key Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of healthcarerelated experience in a discipline such as NA PCT EMT Med Tech Phlebotomist or LPN.
- If less than 2 years of experience a Nursing Assistant or other healthcarerelated certification within the past year and one year of healthcarerelated experience (NA PCT EMT Med Tech Phlebotomist or LPN) is required.
- BLS certification required by the time of hire.
- Epic EMR experience is a plus.
