Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Customer Service Representative to join our HomeCare Services team. In this role you will be the first point of contact for families helping guide them through the process of becoming foster parents and providing ongoing support as they open their homes to children in need. You will be responsible for answering inquiries managing information requests and supporting families throughout their journey with us.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound calls emails and online inquiries from prospective and current foster families with professionalism and empathy.
- Provide information about our services the foster care process and requirements for prospective foster parents.
- Schedule informational sessions training and other necessary appointments for prospective and active foster parents.
- Assist families with application forms documentation and followup to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all interactions and activities in our database.
- Follow up with foster families to ensure they have access to necessary resources and feel supported.
- Coordinate with recruitment specialists and case managers to address specific family needs.
- Help resolve any questions concerns or issues promptly and professionally escalating cases when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associates degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.
- 12 years of experience in customer service social services or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive topics with empathy.
- Detailoriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software is a plus.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Passionate about supporting children and families.
