Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Aircraft Electrician will be responsible for manufacturing repairing and inspecting aeronautical harnesses as well as performing detailed inspection assembly installation repair or replacement of aircraft electrical systems. They will work as part of a team to ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the helicopter fleet within a customer environment. The Aircraft Electrician will also conduct troubleshooting quality checks and documentation completion in accordance with Company and Customer procedures. They will interpret helicopter schematic diagrams manufacture aeronautical harnesses and perform various electrical system maintenance tasks. The role will involve interpreting wiring diagrams conducting diagnostic reviews suggesting solutions and coordinating maintenance elements for electrical systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with Aviation Safety Quality and Export Control Regulations and Procedures
  • Comply with Airbus Helicopters Management Systems Policies and Regulations
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance troubleshooting and quality checks on aircraft electrical systems
  • Interpret helicopter schematic diagrams and update manuals with revised procedures
  • Manufacture aeronautical harnesses and conduct ground support activities on electrical systems
  • Check tools components and parts before maintenance activities for condition and correctness
  • Analyze problems associated with electrical harness equipment and suggest solutions
  • Determine repair procedures for defective electrical cables and propose harness modification solutions
  • Review tooling equipment and spares requirements for helicopter electrical systems
  • Ensure all work is documented signed off progressively and in compliance with AHA Management System
  • Verify aircraft status perform Release to Service and ensure aircraft condition is serviceable
  • Coordinate maintenance requirements and provide onthejob training
  • Other duties as assigned

SPECIFICATIONS:

GENERAL

  • Proven problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Strong communication time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Experience with MS Office

PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE

  • Five or more years of experience in helicopters cabling and aeronautical industry
  • Certificate in Helicopter cabling from OEM technical Institute technical college or equivalent

SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE

  • Practical working experience with helicopters
  • Understanding of technical wiring documentation and Quality Control/Quality Assurance activities
  • Knowledge of International and National Civil Aviation Legislation

ESSENTIAL

  • Experience working within a team of technicians and adapting to various work environments
  • English Proficiency (Advanced Level)
  • Advanced Technical Diploma or equivalent

DESIRABLE

  • Experience working on Airbus Helicopters platforms
  • Experience working in a military environment
  • Practical working experience with Cougar/Super Puma family helicopters
