Position Overview:
The Wireless Infrastructure Engineer II position is designed for an individual who understands the critical value of preparing data to support nextgeneration analytics. This individual will play a key role in the Wireless Infrastructure team by managing the full development lifecycle of complex projects requiring integration with other systems. This includes analysis design programming implementation and support all aimed at reducing the timetoinsight for healthcare professionals researchers and advanced analytics teams by providing innovative bestinclass solutions.
Role Overview:
- Provide advancedlevel network design implementation documentation and troubleshooting with a focus on wireless network access connectivity for medical equipment endpoint devices.
- Support network services at an advanced level to Biomedical & Radiological engineers by providing WiFi connections for critical medical equipment to the network.
- Provide design recommendations and configurations for network products.
- Resolve network problems through research installation customization network administration and management support.
- Utilize masterylevel skills in using a spectrum monitor to identify and eliminate illegal or unlicensed interference signals while continually monitoring the spectrum for realtime issue identification.
- Finetune existing wireless networks by adjusting RF settings Client Matching band steering and modifying areas of the network for optimal wireless solutions in a medical and research institution.
- Perform network and hardware/software maintenance including code upgrades and security patches.
- Collaborate with vendors auditors and Information Security teams to ensure security is maintained and integrated into all network connectivity activities.
- Produce and interpret network security analysis reports and maintain accurate security design documentation.
Key Qualifications:
- Engineers should be knowledgeable about the latest products services IEEE standards protocols and developments in the networking industry.
- Experience in Wireless LAN Controller configurations troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN networking issues.
- Expertise in wireless network design implementation and optimization including technologies such as cellular WiFi6 & 6E Telemetry RFID and infrared.
- Act as a subject matter expert on wireless network design and configuration.
- 47 years of relevant wireless infrastructure experience.
