Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate General Practice Veterinarian to join our team on a fulltime permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine medical exams and provide preventive care for a variety of animals including dogs cats and small mammals
Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries including performing surgeries when necessary
Educate pet owners on proper nutrition behavior and overall health care for their animals
Communicate effectively with clients to ensure they understand their pets condition and treatment plan
Maintain accurate medical records and keep uptodate with all necessary paperwork
Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to provide comprehensive care for patients
Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and attend continuing education opportunities as needed
Contribute to a positive and professional work environment promoting teamwork and collaboration
Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
Active state veterinary license
13 years of experience in a general practice setting preferred
Strong surgical skills and experience performing routine procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a fastpaced environment and handle a diverse caseload
Compassionate and empathetic approach to animal care
Commitment to providing highquality care and exceptional customer service
Willingness to work some evenings and weekends as needed
