Job Description
Savoy Sharm Group is seeking a professional and courteous Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with a friendly and welcoming demeanor. As a Hostess you will be responsible for providing a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests ensuring a pleasant and memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests upon arrival and seat them at their designated tables
Maintain a neat and clean hostess station and ensure it is wellstocked with necessary supplies
Answer phone calls and assist with reservations and inquiries
Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
Monitor and manage the flow of guests in the dining area and make necessary adjustments to seating arrangements
Attend to any special requests or accommodations from guests
Assist with setting up and decorating tables for special occasions or events
Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner and escalate to management if necessary
Maintain knowledge of menu items and daily specials to provide accurate information to guests
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Hostess or in a similar role
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fastpaced environment
Attention to detail and ability to handle cash and credit card transactions
Availability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
Knowledge of multiple languages is a plus
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
Education and Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in hospitality or related field is a plus
Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant preferred
Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer skills
Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid work permit in Egypt
Working Conditions:
This position requires standing for long periods of time and may involve some light lifting and carrying
Must be able to work in a fastpaced and sometimes highstress environment
Will be exposed to noise heat and humidity in the kitchen and dining areas
