BARBACK DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all duties while following all health department sanitation requirements
• Stock bar with ice and product and maintain throughout shift

• Cut fruit and store in the fridge. Must label and date every cut item

• Empty trash by carrying it to the proper areas
• Wash and sterilize glassware
• Polish and stock glassware
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager
• Restock and replenish all bar inventory and supplies
• Assist bartender make drinks as needed
• Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks and appetizers for bar patrons
• Maintains bottles and glasses attractively and functionally to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
• Clear and reset tables in the bar area
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters sinks utensils shelves and storage areas
• Properly put away all beverage and bar consumable orders as they arrive
• Stock and Organize liquor and wine storage areas
• Be able to work on your feet for long periods
• Be able to lift more than 20 lbs
• Be able to carry trays and stack plates
• Assist other FOH staff to perform setting up a restaurant cleaning the restaurant bussing tables running food taking food orders making cocktails serving guests assisting host staff and opening and serving wine when needed.
• No consumption of alcoholic beverages while working
• Read and understand par system
• Other duties as assigned
