Job Title: Data Center Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Data Center Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Data Center Engineer will be responsible for the daytoday operations maintenance and support of our data center infrastructure ensuring the availability performance and scalability of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Center Operations: Oversee and manage the physical and virtual infrastructure within the data center including servers storage systems networking and power distribution.
- Hardware Installation and Configuration: Install configure and troubleshoot server hardware storage devices and network equipment.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Implement monitoring tools to track system performance uptime and temperature ensuring the data center operates efficiently.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and incident management including diagnosing and resolving hardware and network issues.
- Capacity Planning and Upgrades: Plan for capacity requirements system expansions and perform hardware upgrades when necessary.
- Disaster Recovery: Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Security: Assist in implementing physical security measures within the data center including access controls and surveillance systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team and other departments to support system integration and upgrades ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Compliance: Ensure the data center operates in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in data center management and infrastructure support.
- Indepth knowledge of data center technologies including servers storage network and virtualization.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP DNS DHCP etc.) and network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with data center management software and monitoring tools.
- Handson experience with rack stack and cabling practices.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup solutions.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server Cisco CCNA or VMware VCP.
- Experience with cloud technologies and hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work oncall or outside of regular working hours as needed.
