Job Description
Lasts for a 13 week period.
Not open to local candidates within 50 miles.
Schedule varies from Monday to Friday.
Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in perfusion technology.
Responsibilities include operation of extracorporal equipment and providing care for all ages.
Duties may involve cardiopulmonary bypass auto transfusion intraaortic balloon pump counter pulsation standby support short and long term ventricular assist and other tasks to support Perfusion Services.
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of perfusion technology.
Must be currently licensed as a Perfusionist in the state of Georgia.
Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Must demonstrate clinical competency in the practice of perfusion leadership qualities and sound judgment.
Ability to differentiate colors and shades is required.
Preference may be given to candidates with a Bachelors degree of Science and/or three years of recent clinical perfusion experience.
Must be able to work at least 1 major holiday (Christmas Day or New Years Day) and 1 minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Years Eve).
