Our RNs perform typical RN procedures including but not limited to IV starts foley ca Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. EPIC Philips central monitor/telemetry Lifepak 15 we do not have a medication system. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Critical Access Hospital experience preferred but not required. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. BLS ACLS PALS TNCC Shift or schedule requirements. 12 hours shifts can be straight nights or a combination however it isn t able to be rotating. No call required. Weekends are required and are typically about every other every third weekend but that can vary. Floating to over units/departments. We have 2 RNs as minimum staffing and typically have either a PCT or LPN on as a 3rd person. Our RNs float each day between med/surg outpatient and emergency department Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. We have 10 patient rooms and average close to 4 patients per day. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. This can vary based on census and if working charge nurse They average 1:2 or 1:3 but no more than 1:6. Dress Code: Navy scrubs Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Orientation for travelers can be tailored to meet the needs with up to a week of orientation. They typically will work at least a day shift and a night shift to see how each shift functions. Additional Comments: We would prefer to have someone who has all certifications and is able to cover the ER as charge nurse. If that isn t possible we can be flexible on that but it is expected that all nurses working the floor are able to work in ER as we only have 2 RNs on staff at a time. |
