Job Description
SiteHost is a web hosting company based in New Zealand recognised for our outstanding service and innovative approaches to assisting our customers. We are currently seeking a Junior Developer to join our Operations team.
Tasks
About the Role:
You will become a valuable member of our expanding team based in La Paz Bolivia. We prefer candidates comfortable with an officebased environment as we believe in fostering a professional and welcoming atmosphere particularly during the onboarding of new team members.
For this role youll be closely involved with our teammates. Were an agile company with members around the world. We effectively use collaboration tools and techniques for efficient teamwork ensuring constant communication as we collectively tackle problemsolving.
We have a wonderful team that knows how to ship while being relaxed and friendly. Youll get to work across various projects infrastructure and languages also known as fullstack. Youll work with talented developers on new and existing products that keep our customers happy. As well as that youll work on internal tools to help our Operations team be as productive as possible. Youll report to the head of our larger team while being part of small sprintbased project teams.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Have experience building and consuming APIs
- Have worked with PHP Python Go or something similar
- Strive to write clean and maintainable code
- Bring fantastic written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate complex issues and work effectively with remote team members.
Other things that would be useful include:
- An eye for spotting potential UI/UX problems
- Experience with cloud services and LAMP stacks
- Familiarity with Linux and operating platforms used in servers
- An understanding of how hosting works including domains and DNS.
