Job Description

Job Title: Associate Director – Employee Relation

Job Summary / Role:

Location – BLR

The incumbent will be responsible for implementing HR Employee Relation processes running across employee life cycle with respect to case management post investigation conducting domestic enquiry. attending conciliation proceedings in labour department guiding management representatives for cases. Handle disputes in labour courts both under ID act as well as S&E ac. Handle sensitive IR issues. Liaise with labour department. Preparing pro active engagement practices for promoting positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Be watchful on IR environment in industry and circles and timely feedback to leaders.
  • Represent Cognizant before labour and other authorities
  • To prepare SCN and study the response before consequence decision is taken on cases
  • To document and represent before conciliation officer at labour department either individually or guide representatives.
  • Responsible to participate in core group meetings where important statutory decisions are required to be made.
  • Suggesting proactive engagement practices for promoting healthy work environment.

Key Competencies:

  • Knowledge of functional human resources discipline including HR Statutory Compliance Grievance Handling labour laws drafting of SCN and charge sheet across India.
  • Provide expert advice on latest developments under various labour laws
  • Handling sensitive IR issues

Experience: 15 yrs to 20 yrs

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills especially local Kannada.
  • Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Negotiation and convincing articulation

Reporting to : Head of Employee Relations

Job Location: Bangalore

Job Type: Employee Relations & Dispute resolution

Requires Travel: No . only within the state.

Certifications: MBA / MSW/ Industrial Relations Specialization. Legal qualification will be added advantage.
