Job Description
A Leading Architecture company is looking for a skilled and detailoriented Draughtsman to join the interior design team.The Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing accurate and precise technical drawings layouts and plans for interior spaces.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design principles architecture and technical drafting tools and will collaborate closely with interior designers and architects to bring conceptual designs to life.Key Responsibilities:
- Create Technical Drawings: Prepare detailed floor plans elevations sections and 3D visualizations based on sketches and specifications provided by interior designers or architects.
- CAD Drafting: Use computeraided design (CAD) software (AutoCAD Revit SketchUp etc.) to create and modify drawings accurately and efficiently.
- Detailing and Specifications: Provide precise details for construction including dimensions materials finishes and layout details ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with Design Team: Work closely with interior designers and architects to understand design concepts and translate them into technical drawings.
- Site Analysis: Visit project sites as required to measure spaces and gather data necessary for accurate drawing and design.
- Assist with Design Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation related to design changes revisions and construction schedules.
- Ensure Accuracy and Quality: Review design documents for accuracy and compliance with regulations and specifications.
- Material and Finishes Selection: Collaborate with the design team to choose suitable materials finishes and furnishings incorporating them into the drawing designs.
- Revisions and Updates: Make changes to existing drawings based on client feedback or design modifications ensuring that all updates are incorporated accurately.
- Project Support: Assist the project team with coordination and communication between clients suppliers and contractors.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Education: A degree or diploma in Interior Design Architecture or related field.
- Experience: At least 23 years of experience as a Draughtsman in the interior design or architecture industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD Revit etc.) SketchUp and other relevant design tools. Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
