Roles and responsibilities
. Facility Maintenance Support
- Assist in the routine maintenance of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.).
- Help identify and resolve maintenance issues such as malfunctioning equipment, leaks, or electrical faults.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks under supervision (e.g., changing light bulbs, fixing plumbing issues, etc.).
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
2. Equipment Handling and Maintenance
- Operate and maintain equipment used for facility upkeep, such as power washers, tools, and machinery.
- Ensure that tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained to ensure long-term functionality.
- Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor for timely repairs or replacement.
3. Cleaning and Janitorial Duties
- Assist with cleaning tasks, including common areas, restrooms, offices, and outdoor spaces.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistently met across the facility.
- Handle waste management and disposal, following safety protocols for hazardous or non-hazardous waste.
- Perform regular inspections of cleanliness and address issues as needed.
4. Security and Safety Monitoring
- Help ensure that security protocols are followed, such as monitoring entrances, securing doors, and managing access.
- Assist in maintaining fire safety equipment and emergency exits, ensuring they are operational and accessible.
- Conduct regular checks for any potential safety hazards (e.g., spills, blocked exits, exposed wires) and address them immediately.
- Follow safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
5. Support for Construction and Renovation Projects
- Assist in various aspects of construction or renovation projects, such as carrying materials, assisting with site preparation, and setting up work areas.
- Perform manual labor tasks under the supervision of construction managers or site supervisors.
- Help maintain site cleanliness and ensure that debris or construction waste is cleared regularly.
- Follow all construction site safety guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
