Safely operate the vehicle, following traffic laws, speed limits, and road safety guidelines.
Ensure the vehicle is always in good working condition and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
Operate different types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, vans, or heavy machinery, depending on the job requirements.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with passengers or clients.
2. Route Planning and Navigation
Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries or arrivals.
Use GPS or maps to navigate, ensuring safe and prompt travel.
Monitor traffic conditions and adjust routes as necessary to avoid delays (e.g., road closures, accidents, or construction).
3. Vehicle Maintenance
Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure that the vehicle is safe and operational.
Check and maintain oil, tires, fuel, and other essential vehicle components.
Keep the vehicle clean and presentable, ensuring that it meets company standards.
Report any vehicle damage or maintenance needs to the supervisor and schedule necessary repairs or service.
4. Loading and Unloading Cargo (If Applicable)
Load goods, materials, or products into the vehicle securely to prevent damage during transport.
Unload cargo at the destination, ensuring proper handling to prevent loss or damage.
May need to assist with the loading and unloading process, particularly when dealing with heavy or bulky items.
5. Timely Delivery or Transport
Ensure that deliveries are made on time and as scheduled, whether transporting goods, passengers, or materials.
Maintain punctuality, particularly for passenger transport or scheduled deliveries.
In case of delays, promptly inform the relevant parties (e.g., customer, supervisor, or dispatch team).
6. Document and Log Maintenance
Keep accurate records of trips, deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Maintain necessary paperwork for the vehicle, including registration, insurance, and any permits.
Complete logs for delivery or pick-up locations, time spent on the road, and any incidents or accidents.
7. Customer Service (When Applicable)
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with passengers or clients, answering questions and offering assistance as needed.
Driving Skills
Excellent driving skills, including the ability to operate a variety of vehicles safely and confidently.
Knowledge of road safety and traffic laws.
Attention to Detail
Ability to carefully inspect vehicles for mechanical problems or safety issues.
Attention to detail when loading and unloading goods to ensure they are handled properly.
Navigation Skills
Proficiency in using navigation systems, such as GPS devices or mobile apps, to plan routes and avoid delays.
