We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide highquality services to students with communication disorders. This role involves assessing diagnosing and treating students with a variety of speech and language challenges in a schoolbased setting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with school staff parents and other professionals to ensure students individualized treatment plans meet their unique needs and promote positive outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment evaluation diagnosis and treatment services to students with communication disorders including speech language voice fluency and pragmatic disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with school staff and parents.
- Provide consultation and training services to teachers and other educational professionals to improve their understanding of communication disorders.
- Document and maintain accurate records of student progress assessments and treatment plans according to school policies and professional standards.
- Participate in team meetings IEP meetings and other schoolbased meetings to ensure students needs are met.
- Stay informed on current research trends and best practices in communication disorders to continuously improve service delivery.
- Maintain licensure and certification standards required by state and national organizations.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited institution.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in SpeechLanguage Pathology.
- Certification of Clinical Competence in SpeechLanguage Pathology (CCCSLP) from ASHA (Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply).
- Experience working with children with communication disorders in a schoolbased setting is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of current research and best practices in communication disorders.
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
